Located in the south end of Ottawa, Riverside Park is bounded on the north by Brookfield Road, on the east by the Airport Parkway, on the south by the CN Rail tracks, and on the west by the Rideau River. The neighbourhood has a population of approximately 4,500 people (2009 Census). Nearby neighbourhoods include Hunt Club and Alta Vista.
Neighbourhood Details
One of Ottawa's most prominent beaches, Mooney's Bay, is located in the heart of Riverside Park. Right on the Rideau River, the beach also offers picnic areas, a children's playground, and is also the location of the Terry Fox Stadium.
At the northern corner of the neighbourhood, you will find Confederation Heights, where a number of government offices are situated. Confederation Heights features the Recreation Association (RA) Centre, the largest private recreation facility in Canada, featuring over 50 various activities for members to partake in. Membership is available for everyone, with special rates for Federal government employees.

Getting Around the Neighbourhood
Riverside Park offers great accessibility to various points across the city, via car or bus. OC Transpo routes 87, 140, and 640 service the area. Downtown can be reached in 20 minutes by car, or 35 minutes via bus. The Ottawa International Airport is a short 10 minute drive away, or 35 minutes via bus.
