Located in Ottawa's west end, Crystal Beach was established in the late 1950s and early 1960s. It is bounded by Carling Avenue to the North, Moodie Drive to the West, and Corkstown Road to the South and East. A majority of the residences in the neighbourhood are modified versions of the five original models of homes developed by Minto Developments. A newer portion of the neighbourhood was constructed by Garand Homes.

The neighbourhood is known for its exceptional design that reduced traffic flowing through the area. Crystal Beach offers a great sense of community in a prime location!

Amenities in Crystal Beach
Crystal Beach is in close proximity to the Nepean Sailing Club, Andrew Haydon Park, and the Ottawa River. Restaurants in the area include: Shawarma House, Ceylonta Restaurant, and the Villa Lucia Supper Club.
There are a number of amenities in nearby Kanata, including the Hazeldean Mall that will feature a Target in Fall 2013. A variety of other shops and restaurants are also available. Bayshore Shopping Centre is a short 10 minute drive away, and offers a great selection of stores including: Bath and Body Works, Apple, Town Shoes, Birks, Winners, and The Bay.
Crystal Beach Schools
There are two public schools within Crystal Beach: Lakeview Public School and Crystal Beach Public School. In nearby Bells Corners, there are several other schools including: Our Lady of Peace Catholic Elementary, Bells Corners Public School, Grant Alternative School, D.A. Moodie Intermediate School, St. Paul High School, and Bell High School.
Getting Around Crystal Beach
The neighbourhood offers excellent transportation to points across the city, by car or bus. There is easy access to Highway 417, and OC Transpo services a number of routes in the area including: Routes 116, 166, and 169. You can reach downtown in 15 minutes by car. Nearby Kanata is just 10 minutes away by car, or in 40 minutes by bus. Heading to the Ottawa International Airport? Crystal Beach is only 25 minutes from the airport.
