Old Ottawa West is just east of Westboro and north of the Civic Hospital, bordered by the Parkdale Market, the Ottawa River, Island Park Drive, and is home to one of the hottest walking districts Wellington Village. Parks, bike paths, embassies, Tunney’s Pasture, government buildings, new retail replaces the old, new infill residential, and with most homes on 50 foot by 100 foot residential lots or larger, the West is looking its best this year.

Getting Around Old Ottawa West
There are many OC Transpo bus routes that service the Old Ottawa West Neighbourhood: routes 2, 16, 150, 151, 159. In addition, the OC Transpo Transitway borders the north end of the neighbourhood allowing for easy access to Ottawa's downtown. Many routes that cover the east and west ends of the city throughout the city. Old Ottawa West also offers many bike paths within the neighbourhood and along the Ottawa River that provide easy access to other points in the city.
Where to Eat and Shop in Old Ottawa West
In addition to easy access to many great shops, restaurants, and pubs located in the nearby neighourhood of Wellington Village, Old Ottawa West has many of their own.
For dining out, Allium Restaurant is one of the top 10 restaurants in the city. This modern bistro-style restaurant opened in 2004 and features an eclectic blend of exciting, playful Canadian cuisine with classic French techniques. The menu changes on the first Thursday of every month.
Les Grillades is a family-run Lebanese restaurant on Holland Avenue. It offers customers the fastest, friendliest, and freshest spot for lunch in the area. One of their dinner specialties is the charcoal-grilled chicken. No matter what you order, prepare for a feast with lots of extra goodies included.

What To Do In Old Ottawa West
There are many great things to do in Old Ottawa West. Many green spaces allow for walks, bicycle rides, picnics, and sports activities.
For cultural arts, The Great Canadian Theatre Company, located in The Irving Greenberg Theatre Centre, includes a 262-seat main stage theatre, a black box studio theatre, and two spacious lobbies. Old Ottawa West is conveniently located close to two great summer Ottawa festivals. WestFest, one of Ottawa's newest festivals, is a three-day event filled with music, dancing, visual arts, live performances, and of course, food! This great event takes place in the heart of West Ottawa, on Richmond Road in Westboro. Another great west end festival is the Ottawa Folk Festival, held annually in Brittania Park.
