Located south of Old Ottawa South, Heron Park is bounded on the north by the Rideau River, west by the Sawmill Creek, to the east by Bank Street, and Walkley Road to the south. Nearby neighbourhoods include Hunt Club, Riverside Park, and Alta Vista. Although the neighbourhood is divided by Heron Road, it is classified as one neighbourhood, but can be referred to as Billings Bridge and Clementine.

Heron Park has an active community association that holds various events throughout the year, including a Winter Carnival, play groups, knitting circles, outdoor rink activities, among many others.
A variety of businesses can be found on Bank Street, including the Blue Heron Mall which features: Farm Boy, M&M Meats, Colonnade Pizza, Ichiban Bakery, and Consignment World.
Billings Bridge Shopping Mall is also in close proximity and features many well-known stores including:

Getting Around Heron Park
Heron Park offers extensive bus service to various points across the city, with OC Transpo serving routes: 1, 8, 40, 41, 97, 98, 99, 146, and many more. Downtown can be reached in 15 minutes via car or 40 minutes via bus. Catching a flight? The Ottawa International Airport (YOW) is accessible by car in just 10 minutes, or 45 minutes by bus. Living in Heron Park provides its residents with excellent transportation.
